Who's ever seen a 300SDL ?

I would love to see a pic if anyone has one. Think any MB gearhead has transformed a gasser SEL into one? I've always wondered why they were only available in the shorty versions.

I'm assuming you mean as a 116-chassis 300SDL, right?  Since the factory made 126-chassis 300SDLs.

I have toyed with the ideal of making a 450SEL into a 300SDL, but never got very serious about it...
