I am curious as to who has the highest mileage here. MY 450SEL has 87,000 miles which I suspect is pretty low in the scheme of things.

My 230 has 335,400k's on the clock and still going, never had any work done to the motor, doesn't use any oil.

If you want high mileage check ebay W123 300D's have seen them with 700K+ on them.

They just keep going.....and going

My 280SE has 431400 km.  Engine was rebuilt at 255000 or so, but at that stage I suspected it had had a haircut by the P.O.  So the true mileage may be higher than the 431400.  I wish it hadn't been trimmed because i'd be proud if it showed over 500 000.

Where's Chad aka 116.025?  how's your mileage?  He and I have been having a friendly contest......

My 280s has just under 119,000K on the clock and it's obviously original. I can never understand who would buy a car and hardly use it. Mine was laid up for almost 10 years before I got her and brought her back to life and former beauty!

My 6.9 has 123,000km on it.  Pittance really.  Have heard of M100 motors doing 600,000 plus km's.....
sigh....sitting back contemplating the next purchase..!

My car is up to about 185,000km - averaging a little over 6,000km a year. I drive it every chance I have!

I need to check when I get home from work (I've been driving the 420SEL mostly until I get another WUR), but if memory serves, it's at 441,000 kms and some change.

My 450SEL has 129,333 miles (that's 208,141 of those "km" thingies for all you funny people).

Or was it us "miles" folk who were the funny people?  I can never keep that straight.

I'm hoping she'll go more; but right now she's sitting in the garage with various plumbing parts exposed.  Waiting for parts to arrive.

8 months ago, my 280se belonged to a "funny" man and read 152,230 km.
I bought it at that time and now I'm a funny man with 167,425 km  :D
Changed the water pump right after I bought it, the alternator belt ($100 for both) and now planning to change the oil.
These are the only money grabbers... oh and filling both tanks is also quite expensive  :D

176,500 miles (284,049km).  After the wedding, it'll be time for a thorough tuning - i.e. more than just plugs, wires, air filter, oil...

I forgot to mention in my previous post that my 6.3 has only done 213k, with the wear on the steering wheel, dash, and interior it has ether been parked in the sun all its life or the speedometer has been rolled back.

I just took a look, it's at 441,416 kms to be exact.

wau, 116.025 and s-class have some very impressive milages in their M110 engines. I would think some valve work would be necessary by that time and perhaps cam chain renewals.

My M117 has just broken 200 000 km . And nothing else major has been done except a cam chain replacement and one sticking hydraulic lifter was chaged (I found it based on a ticking noise coming from one spot).

I have heard that it would do very good to take these lifters out, empty them from old oil in a press and store them in some diesel fuel for some days, empty again in the press and place them back. The oil never changes in the lifter and I guess sludge develops in them. I havent gone to that yet, but it was one of my winter porjects since my 450sel is sleeping anyway.
