Won't Roll or Move after sitting 4+ Months

My 1980 Mercedes 300 SD drivable parts car sat for just over 4 months without use.  I did run the engine for a few minutes two months ago, but didn't drive the car.  Now I can't get the car to move.

What I know:
When I got in it this past weekend, the engine started right up (with no hesitation and sounding strong).  I went to take it for a spin around the block but the car just won't move. When I shift it into gear, it feels like the car is shifting but if I hit the gas I get no motion in any gear. If I put the car in neutral, I can't roll it. Basically, the car isn't moving.  I am trying to come up with a list of things I should be checking and doing that might resolve the issue.  I'd like to get the car to be drivable.  I am assuming it is something simple but this serves me right for not exercising the car every few weeks.

Any thoughts on troubleshooting?

Could be brakes locked up.  Jack up the rear and see if you can roll the wheels with park brake released and shifter in N.

Jack up the wheels on flat and try to spin the wheels by hand in neutral.

Most likely the breaks have seized, they rust up and bind to the pad.
Jack it up and try turning the wheel by hand. If it's still not moving teak the wheel off and give the caliber a few slaps with a hammer then see how it moves.

It's unlikely to be the disc brake pads that have rusted onto the discs, far more likely the parking brake shoes that have rusted inside the discs.
