Replacement Air Filter Element

Can't find a replacement air filter element for my 1975 280S.  It the big oval element with one port for crankcase venting.  A few sites have it listed but all say out of stock.  Any recommendations where to buy in the US?

Mercedes Classic Center should be able to get it for you quickly.

The part is discontinued via Mercedes Classic Center.  Looking for an after market replacement.

Can you find similar size without the little pipe and improvise? Like one ftom a w126 300se might fit.

Have you searched for 3rd party cross-references?
Filtron AE345 and WIX WA6026 are listed as direct replacement, but a quick glance at current catalogues shows them as discontinued. Maybe you can find somone online who has stock still?

Otherwise, DIY as rumb suggested may be your only option.
