So today I went to a wooden boat festival and there was this old boat with an electric motor. Put out 230hp and weighed a bit over 100kg. Just a small disc shaped thing attached to 2 batteries weighing around 100kg each. I reckon the whole lot would easily fit in the engine bay of a w116. I like my engine though. Just a thought.
It would be a very costly proposition for a W116. It's just to heavy to make sense as an EV.
I've played with the idea last year, and after some research the cost added to >15000EUR for a setup with <200km range.
