Diesel mileage and info

I am in the process of researching a move from my W124 230TE (M102) to the wagon I initially wanted to buy being a W123.

And although the 280TE is tempting (And this move is a fair way off for now) im seeing W123 300TD's cropping up a bit and im beginning to wonder if it isn't worth paying the premium (Oil burners seem to be 50% more) for our daily driver and shopping cart.

I've researched the types of non turbo oil burners and id really like to know what sort of economy id get from one of these 5 or 6 cylinder speed beasts lol
