Title: Dash lights
Post by: Sonch on 02 September 2020, 09:48 PM
I have no dash lights. Going to pull inst panel to replace bulb there, but shouldn't I have lights on center console too? Recently replaced all fuses. Thanks

Try to adjust the dimmer (potentiometer) switch on the dash. They are notorious for failing. Your dash lights may flicker if that's the problem. If so either replace the switch for about $100 or jump it.

The switches on center console have fiber optic strand with a bulb on the end.  The shifter has it's own light bulb on the side.

Given that the dash, console and shifter lights are all out...is there a larger connection issue or failure that I should begin with? Maybe the potentiometer is dead (no action from that at all) and stuck in the off position?

As others mentioned you must have a bad dimmer switch. Shifter light is not connected to the dimmer and the lamp must be bad. I think it's better you start with the shifter and replace the lamp. It's easier to do.
