I recently noticed looking at pictures that there are 2 different door card designs. Anyone know about this?  I first noticed it in the japan brochure I found earlier.

On the 280 S/SE the flat door cards were standard for fabric and MB-Tex seats, while the blue one you show was an option for those models. On all the other engines/models the "rounded" doorcard is standard. At least in Europe, not sure about the US.

Since we are talking door cards, did all 116 leather door cards have semi perforated/textured leather?  As I always bring up, my car was extremely modified, I guess the prior owner wanted the door card leather to more match his custom front seats.  Sorry about the bad image.

All door cards are vinyl.  For leather or MBtex seats the panels are perforated vinyl.
Cloth/velours seats the panels are the same material as the accent seat material.

Thanks.  So another mod that I had not noticed.  The prior owner also covered the perforated headliner (and sun visors) with a fuzzy black material.  I guess he did not think perforated material fit with the other Miami Vice style mods.  Pretty funny what lengths some car modders will go to.
