Title: C pillar interior trim removal
Post by: Howard60 on 19 February 2020, 11:05 AM
Hi
the seatbelt story continues, after seat removal and one screw from the trim over the C Pillar, I am now stuck!
At the risk of breaking anything, I am loathed to use brute force to remove this part?
Are there anymore hidden fixings or specific techniques to get this part off?

Thanks

I think you are referring to the screw at the bottom of the C pillar panel, if force is required. You pull/slide the panel directly forward the front of the car and away from the chassis (toward the center of car). It has three clips that hold it into place. At this point it slides out with a reasonable amount of German force. (Don't use American force, the metal clips can breakt).

Thanks, that helped. I did indeed need to use quite some considerable force, but I chose polite English force :)
This seemed to work. Howard
