Mine has been leaking for a while so I need a replacement, I believe it's an aftermarket unit and this is what it looks like: could use new chrome parts too.

I have no idea where I could purchase these. Any ideas?

I suppose mine is a Hirschman copy and maybe the original parts will fit, if I can find any.

I'm still getting some condensation after taping over the aerial hole so probably need new boot rubbers. It never ends....

If you are getting a lot of condensation/moisture in your trunk check your taillight seals.

I've seen a thread on here where folk have used this model successfully and considering I've already wasted a fortune on this jalopy why not buy a whole new aerial?  ;D

Probably your best bet.  Rechroming a few parts and never finding the proper gaskets unfortunately drives the decision that way, especially because your original is long gone already.

hi
fwiw, i put that hirshmam 2050 auta on my last car and i found that the chrome bezel deteriorated within a year, the car was out in all weathers though. i was dissapointed,  wonder if you could protect it some how.

apart from that it worked great.

That's a great point. I'm going to paste wax it periodically. Being such a small part it won't be any bother.

I don't garage my car and am planning on replacing the front bumper and grill at some point. Maybe all the chrome. After that outlay you can bet I'll be fighting the good fight against the Irish weather! Waxing and polishing on the driveway like that old man you used to see.

Wait, I am that old man now.  >:(
