6.9 air dam / chin spoiler

I'm getting a little body/paint work done over the winter and need advice on the chin spoiler.  Some folks here are very expert in this area.      My recollection is that it's unpainted and more or less the color of the low, double grills under the bumper.  Is this correct?  Thanks and cheers,

Yes the 2x plastic grill inserts are plain black plastic and so is the chin spoiler.  No paint on either.

Negative. I've got a photo somewhere of one on a 6.9. My plan (tentative) was to grab an air dam off a pickup truck at the local wrecker and see if I could trim/fit to size. Just another crazy idea.

I won't see my car again till Spring.  At one point Rumb was exploring running a batch of them but price was prohibitive.  But maybe he has photos or CAD plans for them that could be useful?

I do not agree on the colour.  The little slats under the bumper are dark grey, but the chin spoiler is essentially black.  We bought the last few I think that were available from MB a few years ago for our 6.9s.  The slats are not as dark as the chin spoiler

Indeed what I meant was they are installed as they come from the factory, no paint.
