What are the 6.9 instrument cluster flavors?

There to be many.  Metric speedometers, 160 mph USA speedos, 170 mph speedos, 5k redline tachs, 5.3k redline, probably others.  Can anybody elucidate?  Having different speedometers in different regions makes sense.  But different redlines?  Or maybe 4.5L tachs find their way into 6.9's?  It's all quite confusing.  Cheers,

Oz spec cars are 5300 rpm tachs and speedos are 260 kph. I've only managed 240 myself! :P

Haha, I've only managed 230 kph, though car was still accelerating (albeit slowly by that point and I lost my nerve to continue).  Anyway, Mine is a Euro car with dual kph/mph speedo going to 170 mph and 5300 rpm tach.  I also had a USA model parts car that had 5000 rpm tach and 160 mph speedo.  Cheers,

nemigaparts.com EPC shows only one tach with clock for 6.9's euro and NATO.  0015426116 which is a 5000 rpm redline.

Speedos:
euro 003 540 07 47 260kph

NATO 008 542 46 06/ 008 542 78 06  170mph/270kph
     009 542 45 06  lame oil shortage 80's 85 mph/140kph
     008 542 77 06  260 kph  (odd that epc doesnt show mph)

Dave, your car was federalized and they probably put the 170mph/270kph speedo in during conversion. The tach, who knows?

Someone with full EPC could see the VIN changes.

Just made a quick look at mine, the euro spedo faceplate has a 116 pn on the face (kpm only).
The one from my parts federalized euro had a 107 pn (mph/kph)

Undoubtedly.  I've seen a lot of such speedos on cars for sale on BAT.  But yeah, tach who knows.  In hindsight I think I may have a franken-cluster - tach from our silver parts car and federalization speedo that was in my car. A 170 mph speedo has a nice feel to it.   ;D  Whatever the case,  there are 5k tachs out there.  My car is early so it probably had the 5k tach and I switched it.  I wonder if judges in a concours would pick up on that?  Anyway, it all prodded me into raising the issue here.  There are so many obscure, weird details on these cars!  Cheers,

ps - as an aside, apart from the speedo, all vestiges of federalization have been removed.  The only other thing was the bars in the doors.  They had to come out to grease  the windows and never found their way back, hehehe.

For what it is worth, my 77 USDM (Non California) model has a 170MPH Cluster (i.e. Shows 160 as the highest number, but continues markings for an additional 10) . I have a 5,000 Redline on mine. Part number. 1165422101
