Thanks, I don't want to  have to do it over so I'll just get the right one.

As your car is from 1976, you should have the K-Jetronic system which uses the following hose : A1234700875 . Should be around $30 from the dealer. Or from FCP Euro or Autohaus:

You will want to use the hose with fitting:

Normally we would say Mercedes only, but several here have suffered early failure of thecloth covered hose from mb.  The cohline one above I would think a better choice.

That would be 584. I replaced the pump filter accumulator and all tubing up to the hard line. I have a hose for part 584 but there's no fitting but,  the one I bought is NPT. I just wanted to be sure to get the right thing this time. Or is it easier to find the actual:"FUEL HOSE" ?

Are you referring to the filter and/or the hose that goes into it?

What part on this diagram?

Can someone tell me what size/thread type I need to look to replace the fitting that screws into the bottom of the fuel tank? I bought a stainless barb but the original is not pipe thread apparently.  It looks more like a hydraulic fitting. What do I need to look for?

Thanks,

Hopefully, another SD owner will confirm. Not surprised the 6.9 had the "delay" as it was the "holy grail" of the W116 S-Class!

I'd recommend reading through these articles, it's contains a lot of information about D-Jetronic in general : https://jetronic.org/en/d-jetronic

Yes. I took the plugs "out of their holes". I used my jump box: negative cable on the body of the plug;the positive where the wire screws on. If good, the plug will instantly get hot,  glowing red on the tip.

Quote from: amilio on 19 April 2024, 11:16 AMDid you test them by taking them out of the holes and seeing if they glow? Wondering if I'm having the same issue. Thank you for updating!
