How many of you have paint protection film on your cars?

W116 and others.

In Colorado there is a lot of dirt/rocks/gravel on our roads so we have it on the 2 newest MB's. I also end up replacing all the windshields every couple of years from chips/cracks and pitting all over the entire surface.
My R129 front bumper is extremely pitted and need a repaint.

W116 seems to have only a small frontal area that could use film, under the headlights and perhaps just a small area above them.

I never heard of protection film, but I wish I had.  In Utah windshields and headlight lenses are regarded as a wear item, same as Colorado.  Absolutely terrible!  Anyway, the nose of my car has taken a beating as we recently discussed.  I'd put it on the whole front of the car up to the point where the hood goes more or less horizontal.  Sounds like it would extend windshield life but I doubt it's legal.  But I'd be concerned about it being ugly.  What's your experience with it?  Cheers,
-Dave

More commonly known as clear bra, but good brands are super and prevent all chips. You canbarely see the lines.
Not for windshields.

I know a person that put it on the entire car.

We have on the CLS and the GTS.
