I've just realised it's been 12 years already that I've been learning the ins and outs of the W116 from you fine people :) Thanks!

Yeah time flies. A little longer for me I think. We are glad that you didn't sell Goldie :)

I just hit 9 years. Original plan was to be done with resto 4 years ago. I've learned so much from this site as well as made some good friends along the way. Just glad my health is improved a bit and I am able to progress nicely this summer on body work.

Read this article with interest when curiosity got the better of me.

Looked into my profile and I found I had registered on this site September 20 2008.

The fact that I'm still here, tells me the value and the wealth of information this site has brought & continues to bring.

Across 2 continents now and the I still read this forum on a regular basis. Have no "fix-up" questions of late, but try and contribute if I can.
I'm having a fantastic run with the car.  Everything works and its proving reliable so far. Largely due to the answers to problems this site and its members have helped with.
The car is being enjoyed as a "cruiser" across this beautiful land of Ireland and maybe next year a side trip to Wales and Scotland.  The whole reason it came with me across from the other side of the world!
