I'm off to check out a W109 tomorrow up north of Perth a 6.3 to be exact. anyway how about a Saturday morning catch up say at Cottesloe? can you suggest a cafe or maybe we could meet at Tims place? to inspect the progress of current projects.
cheers
Robert

My place would be fine if the consensus is such, and there is a top notch (last time I went there, anyway) cafe around the corner too (probably packed on Saturday morning though).

I will be bringing the 6.9 up for some assembly/sunroof removal work, but that might be in the afternoon. The 560 is out the front.

Was that the 6.3 in Greenwood? I believe Nathan knows a bit about that one from memory.

Hey Tim,

That would be great, lets say around 10am at your place, I look forward to checking out the recent arrival.

and yes the 6.3 is at greenwood, belongs to a chap called Hans. I will be meeting with him today.

would appreciate any local history on this car, Nathan?

Robert

Tim,
quick reminder please, your address, just the name of the street.
or you can PM with your phone number
Sorry to hear you are under the weather Major Tom, hope to catch up one day.

I checked out the 6.3 today, nice general condition, the suspension worked well and gave really good handling, the body looked straight and clean but the motor had a bad miss which let it down.  The owner seemed to think it was just fouled plugs but I would have to get it checked out properly before I would consider a purchase. anyway a bit of fun and got to meet another mercedes enthusiast.

ps, the coffee is on me

Sure thing Robert,

Congdon St.

Regarding the 6.3, you would indeed want to make sure it wasn't a lack of compression type of miss. He's probably right though about the fouled plug.

Nathan,

I do believe there is another WA 6.3 available, I saw it on one of the car sales websites recently, and it wasn't the Greenwood one. Or is this a different 6.3 altogether? ;D

I'll give you a call.

I had a last second hairbrained idea to goto adelaide for the weekend.

Naturally coming from sunny old perth I brought nothing warm at all and it was freezing cold, watching my horse come 4th on the track out in the open didn't help either..

My own stupidity is at fault, I have no one else to blame  8)

Bugger!

Honey, Booze and oiled up floozies will fix this bug up, and none of this to be taken in moderation rubbish either.

Good heath!

I concur with Motec, it was great to meet up again and to meet Motec6.9 in person.

I believe RobertD may have a new addition to his fleet, too. ;D

Nathan, I enjoyed the 500GE action when you left!

Thanks guys,

It was god to meet up with some of the Perth brigade and talk all things Mercedes.

Tim you have a nice project in that blue 560, I was particularly impressed with its interior and thank you again for assisting and being part of my new acquisition.

I will post some pics of the beast when I get it home.

Nathan your G wagon looks and sounds the part, very nice. I have never before seen a 4 wheel burnout on tarmac, impressive! indeed, must be those diff lockers that made it happen.?

cheers until next visit

Robert
