Wow... this thread went downhill fast. hahahah...

Yeah, I've learned to forward plan a little after getting to the 'where the f*k did i put that' moment so many times.

You're right about projects MT, I learned quickly to only have 1 at a time.  And at the moment even that will take me ages.

put new engine mounts in my 280SE this morning.  I'm astonished at the improvement in smoothness and general driving experience.

I knew I couldn't hold it for long. I just started another project; the 6.9's rear windscreen seal in case the car gets a showering in the meantime. I will also be getting some panel and paint estimations over the next few weeks.

However, I'm also making progress with the 190 engine reassembly.

Do you have the new seal already or are you yet to order it ???

Nah, there's no gaping hole yet, as I don't have a seal just now. I've gone so far as to remove all the trim, and I might leave it off until I reach a verdict on the paint.

The pistons and oil filter housing are now installed on the W201's engine.
