Arrggghhhhhh, it's on the same time every year, and been plastered across every Victorian car forum for weeks (Except perhaps, this one!)

I seriously thought everyone here would have known about it, sorry!

I only have time to monitor 3 car forums + Facebook and it wasn't on any!!!  Bugger....

QuoteBTW I'm loving those tyres with the white writing Ian!  Very 70s and they suit the 6.9 muscle well!  Where did you get em?

There is a hotrod place in Springvale which imports them, was a 3 month wait and they were expensive ($147ea) but they are a size that BFGoodrich importers don't bring into Australia: 215/70-14  which happens to be the OEM size for 6.9s

So you need to go to these little low volume importers... at least if you don't like the white lettering you can get the tyres installed with the black-side-out, since the tyres are not directional.

I.
450SEL 6.9 #5440 = V MB 690 , 450SE # 43094 = 02010 H , 190E/turbo # 31548 = AOH 68K

Relax Mark.
You weren't the only one that missed it. :(
I found out from Carl the day or 2 before and that was purely by chance. I sms'd him a query and he asked if I was going.
Would've moved everything aside had I have known earlier.
Ah well.......Next years is already in my diary with 2 email reminders! ;)

They sound perfect!  What's the load and speed ratings?

Actually it was on one of them (not this one), but the title of the thread wasn't very descriptive!

Looks like a nice event.  Wish there was one like that close to me.

Can anyone comment on the paint code of the yellow car in the first picture?  Not sure if that belongs to a member of the forum or was just at the show.   That looks like the color of a 300SD that I had which was supposed to be Manilla Beige by the body tag, but where the clear remained, it looked more like the aforementioned picture.  It definitely had a strong yellow tint.

That's James's 280 SE,  he's on the forum, pretty sure it's "Yellow" code 624.  James??

And not one of you lousy so-n-so's told us it was on!!!!  Dammit!  Would loved to've been there, but I was working.  If I knew a while before hand I would've requested the day off!

Last year they were calling for more W116's mate and the boys club forum usually pushes the event as well, same venue and rough time every year and yet I STILL haven't been so dont feel too bad Mark.

Just do what I did this year and have your own Car Show (I wont use the word Concours)...
