Hahahahah... alright.. there won't be a burnout comp.  :o  :D ;)

I'm heading down to Melbourne for AC/DC this weekend.. won't get in till late Friday night - but will have all Saturday free before the show Saturday night.

Calling all Melbourne .Orger's who are keen to catch up for lunch on the Saturday.  Maybe somewhere that has some type of car-park (no, not for burnouts - but we could kick some tyres).

Any takers?

Any suggestions for a good feed?  How's leichardt street these day's?

Cam. :)

Sorry... forgot, late notice I know.  But the date will be 13th February (this saturday) if you're keen for lunch and a beer or lemonade. :)

if you keep it central i might be able to sneak out without the wife noticing! what about an earlier session at 10am or so (then my wife wont club me, why do my ventures always end up with the threat of my wife hurting me!)...im quite content to drive over if the 123 is acceptable! when we have done wa get togethers, we generally met somewhere with a large non busy carpark and then went for a cavalcade run but whatever works! otherwise me and Cam will be together in our flannel listening to white snake!
keep me posted

I regret I have a previous engagement otherwise would have jumped at the chance to catch up and
kick some tyres with some of the boys.
Cheers

You able to make it?

If we are taking Saturday I'm already committed and Sunday is some sort of family pre Wedding event in the hills, but let me know when and where and if possible I'll  get there.

so with about 30 minutes notice, a mini meeting was arranged.
Cam swung by in the 6.9SE prior to the ACDC concert.  this automobile, aside from its uniqueness, has a very nice interior which Cam often forgets to mention.  Foss also dropped by as it seems he is very close to my place here. he had his newly acquired 6.9 off RD, minus number plates which is being worked on! nice to meet some of the local crew, and as Carl mentioned earlier, maybe we'll put some more faces to names on the upcoming event at the end of this month!

Haha... was nice to finally meet you in person Nathan, and good to meet Foss also.  The Blue 6.9 that was RD's looks like a very nice example.

Interesting thing was the cruise control unit on it was stamped as a 93 unit and is definitely an upgrade of sorts compared to the older unit.
(was box looking with the little control arm / governor that has the cable connected to it)
Foss, i'm sure the folks here would be keen to see some engine bay shots of your new toy.  (very tidy engine bay too overall, nice and dry and well kept)

Would've been nice to have more time for a proper chat, but had to go.. $150 a ticket for AC/DC I didn't wanna miss any.. turns out Wolfmother were as sh!t as I expected so probably had another hour or 2 to spare..  :-\  Next time.

Hope to get down to Melbs again sometime in the next 6 months, but more than likely it'll be for a supersprint at Sandown or maybe Calder.

Thanks for the kind words on the interior also dude.  I guess I forget to mention it, cause my focus is usually mechanical.  I think I've been bloody lucky with both the silver 116's i've had.  First one was the race car - had blue velour and was in great nic.. interior got turfed though in the name of laptimes (not literally - it went to good homes).  But this one has blue mbtex? or it might be leather.. I can't tell the difference.  I think I should take better care of this one though.  At least until it goes to custom Red or Black Leather.  8)

Cam.

PS.   Burnout Comp was postponed, I had near new R Spec Semi Slicks on the back, and at $300+ per tyre it forces me into restraint.  :-[

Yesmar

any other pictures of the car would be appreciated...
