How to posts photos 101
Go to the 'Org', and log-in
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39550-4/Welcome+screen.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39547-1/Welcome+screen.jpg)
Once logged-in, then click on the 'Gallery' tab
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39490-4/Log-In.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39487-1/Log-In.jpg)
From the gallery there are four sub-sections you can choose to store your photos in: 'Show Room', 'Garage', 'Test Drive' and 'Fun'. Choose the most appropriate to your topic/photo.

Click on the relevant picture, and you will get to this next screen. From here, click on the sidebar [ I⇨] which is on the top left hand side. Immediately a drop-down-box appears. Click on the 'Add Album' tab.
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39424-4/Choose+a+topic+section.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39421-1/Choose+a+topic+section.jpg)
Complete the information screen as appropriate, once finished, click the create button
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39442-4/Completed+album+details.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39439-1/Completed+album+details.jpg)
You can now manipulate the album behaviours, but generally speaking, you can just click accept, as the default settings are the most commonly used
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39496-4/Manipulate+album+details+as+wanted.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39493-1/Manipulate+album+details+as+wanted.jpg)
Congratulations, you have just created your own photo album!
;D
Now you need to up-load your photos into the album. Have your photo/s ready. You can either keep them on your desktop, or in a folder on your desktop.
Image on desktop
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39484-4/Image+on+desktop.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39481-1/Image+on+desktop.jpg)
Photos in a folder on your desktop
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39460-4/Desktop.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39457-1/Desktop.jpg)
Ensure that the images are of a suitable size
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39502-4/Note+on+image+sizes.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39499-1/Note+on+image+sizes.jpg)
Assess the image size
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39228-4/Assessing+image+size.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39227-1/Assessing+image+size.jpg)
Adjust the size if you need to. 60 to 700 KB is plenty. You can adjust on your previewer something like this:
Go back to the gallery section, and find your album
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39466-4/Find+your+album.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39463-1/Find+your+album.jpg)
Click on the drop-down-box, and then select the 'edit album' tab
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39544-4/To+add+further+items.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39541-1/To+add+further+items.jpg)
Now you need to add your photo. To do this, click the 'Add items' button from the 'Options' menu
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39520-4/Photo+on+the+desktop.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39517-1/Photo+on+the+desktop.jpg)
The page should now show an option to 'choose file'
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39412-4/Add+items+screen.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39409-1/Add+items+screen.jpg)
If your image is on the desktop, look for it here
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39430-4/Choosing+photo+from+the+desktop.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39427-1/Choosing+photo+from+the+desktop.jpg)
If your image is stored in a 'photo folder' then just search for that folder
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39526-4/Search+box.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39523-1/Search+box.jpg)
Once you have found the folder, then locate the picture
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39532-4/Select+photo.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39529-1/Select+photo.jpg)
You can then add a caption to the picture, a basic description
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39418-4/Caption+completed_001.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39415-1/Caption+completed_001.jpg)
Now you may upload another picture in the second 'open box', and if you click on the 'More Upload Boxes" it is possible to add more photos bearing in mind that there is a total size limit. Once you have done, then click the 'Add Items' button. You should get a confirmation screen. If you do not get a confirmation screen, then your items are not saved, and this is usually because your photo is too large, or you have tried to upload too many photos
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39448-4/Confirmation+screen.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39445-1/Confirmation+screen.jpg)
You have just reached the second milestone, congratulations!
;D
Now it's time to link your photos to your posting/thread.
Find your album in the gallery section
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39466-4/Find+your+album.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39463-1/Find+your+album.jpg)
Click on it to open your album 'pages'. If you only have one picture, this is what you will see
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39508-4/Open+the+_drop-down_+box.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39505-1/Open+the+_drop-down_+box.jpg)
If you have a many photos, you will see this
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39478-4/If+you+have+many+photos.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39475-1/If+you+have+many+photos.jpg)
If you have lots and lots of photos, you will have many pages, and you will need to search for the page
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39472-4/If+you+have+many+pages.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39469-1/If+you+have+many+pages.jpg)
Once you have found your photo, then you can click on the 'item actions' button, and a dropdown menu appears. Select 'Get item URL's'
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39508-4/Open+the+_drop-down_+box.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39505-1/Open+the+_drop-down_+box.jpg)
Now, copy and paste the relevant link into your posting/thread
(http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39454-4/Copy+the+relevant+link.jpg) (http://gallery.w116.org/dl/39451-1/Copy+the+relevant+link.jpg)
YOU'RE DONE!
I find it easier to open two 'Org' windows. I open the first window, and sign in. I then get to the relevant section in the org where I want to tell people about my happenings or I want to comment on others' happenings. I then open a second window, and this time, I go to the 'Gallery' section, not the 'Forum'. I can now manipulate the 'Forum' section and the 'Gallery' sections simultaneously.
It's messy, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier.
Hope this helps, and post pictures of those 116's!

Nice Tute!
Tinfoil armadillo helmet optional BTW and if anyone feels Gavin's screen looks unlike their screen it is because Gavin is using an Apple product.
Tinfoil helmet indeed! OMG
That is the most off-putting, intimidating and needlessly complicated process known to mankind.
Here's how to post photos 102
1. Find the photo you want using your own personal online album or with a google internet search.
2. Click the little mona lisa icon to create the [..pic..] [../pic..] brackets in your post.
3. Copy and paste the picture's URL to land in between the pic /pic brackets
4. Done. Have a beer.

And for what its worth I run Windows 7 and Mac OS (On a G4 and an eMac) and I have played with iOS on iPads and I dont like the new Apple stuff one bit.
Its as big brotherish as you can get and not friendly to repair or do data recovery.
Dont even ask what i think of iPhones in Australia..........
