Auto Italia was also on but dismantling the dodgy steering lock precluded attendance.

EDIT: I know your out there Cam how did it go?

Nice pics mate!!

I ended up knocking my PB from a 58.58 down to a 57.2!!  ;D

Stoked!

Don't think you saw it, my 4th run finished with me in an 'interesting' position while crossing the finish line.  I'm sure there'll be pics and vids somewhere soon..  :-[

Cheers again for coming out mate!

And big props to Oscar for making the trek from down south for the day!!

Props to bb as well for putting in a massive innings!

Runs for the day:

1: 60.something
2: 58.something
3: 57.55
4: 57.99
5: 57.20

Was a great day!!   8)

Wow 1.5 seconds or so over your PB... and there's probably further to go still... those tyres adhere best while warm, so bag them up on take-off!

Imaging with a lil avgas in the mix?

hey torana can you email me the full sized pics?

Cheers,

I.

Torana, I just missed you apparently.  We dropped by auto italia first.  Well actually we didn't stop, ::) just did a lap and then redlined for the hill climb ;D  Saw all those red and yellow cars last time but I have to say it was a much better venue compared to last year.

It was good to catch up with bb and check his milan brown 6.9 out in the carpark.  Those rubber over riders will look great on my 350 ;D Just kidding ;D I didn't touch 'em ;)

What amazed me is how challenging the course looks.  Compared to seeing the vids and pics, the corners look tight and the hill is definitely that.
Anyway, I'll just leave a few pics of Cam.  Wish I saw the 5th run.  Congratulations Cam.  The 4th run was pretty spec (eagerly awaiting bb's vid ;D ) crossing the line in style.  But these pics are from the 4th run.

Those pic's come out SWEEEEEEEET!!  ;D 8) ;D 8)

You're spot on Oscar, the course is tight as!  And if not respected it can bite...  ::)  ;)

Can't wait to get an LSD in, it'll be a little bit good / a little bit bad.  Better grip, more HP on the ground and faster times.  8)  But also less smoke.  :'(

Thanks again for heading up for it mate!

Ian,
Is that what you meant by 'bag it up' a little on take off??  That's after turn 2, but the tyres didn't feel quite warm.. (honestly though, it's all the diff  :( )
AV Gas would be so nice.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Vids coming soon.

Cam.  :)

What an enjoyable day. I seem to like the joint more every time I go there  ;)

Cam's 450 is certainly a beast and it looks brilliant lapping the track with him behind the wheel doing a great job. Well done. 8)

I took lots of video which I am going to give to Cam tomorrow for uploading to youtube. Better if he uploads the footage of his own car racing. I'm thinking I might make a highlight reel of the other cars I filmed and upload that myself.

...and both lots of stills are very nice indeed  ;D 8) If anyone wants any stills from the video footage, let me know.

oscar

Got a video of the third run.  Sorry no engine/exhaust sound.  My AV hookup just wont detect an audio source so I dubbed the Faszniation song over the top. ;D

Great job Cam. The spin out on run 4, the cheer from the spectators and their idea of cleaning the track afterwards still cracks me up.

Drunk skippies eh? :D

Thanks for the photos torana.  Sorry I couldn't make it, usual busy weekend at home, didn't even use the puter over the weekend.

How did you go Cam?  First time at this track with the new suspension isn't it and I noticed tape on the sunroof, did you cut it out?

No, sunroof went back in right after it came out.  Was too concerned the scrutineers would slap me down on the day..

Confirmed that it probably doesn't need to be in, might need a roll cage - but don't think so...

Beat my PB by 1.1 secs or so.  Down to 56.11, which is about 3secs away from v8 commodore territory.

The 120y was way faster than the carbon fibre on the evo!!  :o  :D
