I know I'm a W116 enthusiast because

a) I walk up to every parked 116 no matter how sh!tty it is a check if its a manual with a plan to try to get the owner to sell it

b) i photograph crashed and wrecked out 116s, 126s, 123s etc, for my Rusty Relics picture thread

c) i slow down to check out a POS 116 owned by a 90 year old granny and think her car would be a great restoration project...
