Gents,

I had to tow my 600 that I'm restoring down to the exhaust shop to get a new system made. Of course the only option was to use me racing car's tow car and 'A' bracket:

P.S. That's 13.2 Liters in tandem!

Chocolate.....mmmmm  :P

(Nah not really, but my dad has a 450 the exact same colour, and I call it "Chocolate Thunder".)
'79 280SEL- 560,000 Kms
'73 350SE- getting an AMG facelift

I'm not sure of the colour code or description, but is should be somewhat darker than what it's been resprayed, ie the colour in the engine compartment is a little darker. When I get around to respraying the car, I'll take it back to the original colour in the engine compartment. I really like the colour - I've seen quite a few 6.9's on the net in this colour. We never had W116's in this colour in SA.

This looks very greedy, a w116 and a w100! I envy you so ;D ;D

Hey Grant i noticed the 600 is a left hooker is it Euro or US i WISH YOU ALL THE BEST WITH IT MATE i THINK 600'S LOOK great their sort of timeless.
Regards,
rob

Grant V

Rob - It's a Euro spec 600.
Interestingly, it has a partition, apparently one of only 50 SWB 600's with this option. Makes the driving position a bit cramped, though. But then again, one should be lounging in the back....

Not sure which one is up on the M-100 site. That's my 300b and Tatra T603-2 in th background.

I spotted a similar picture on the M100 site which featured details of "Craig S's" 6.9 somewhere in NSW, Australia but his profile shows that he is domiciled in Turkey.

These are a few interesting cars from the DC Museum in Stuttgart. Note the higher glass line on the 600 - built especially for DB to ferry their VIP's around.

Whose a lucky guy with the Pullman  ;D

Here's me cooking my clutch on my old E30 BMW trying to force out a dent in my W201's quarter panel from an impact with a telephone pole years back  :D I know it's not W116 related.

Nutz, always full of good ideas, who needs a slide hammer. ;D

Craig, top fotos. Have you got a front on shot of ESF 22.   I'm curious what they did to those lights.

Sorry. Checked all the photos and none front on, but if my memory serves me well, it had the twin US version lights. Here is another shot.

Maybe this will make up for it !
