5/112.

Be aware that MB wheels are hub-centric - meaning the central hubs carry the weight .  A number of other manufacturer's wheels may fit, but they are stud centric - meaning the stids carry the weight.  It would be very dangerous to fit such wheels to a MB.  THese topics have been discussed at some length in the past here.  do a search for the keywords 'wheel' or 'tyre' or 'tire' or 'rim'

I bought a set of later model W126 rims from Styria, they are 15" as opposed to the 14" found on the W116 and early W126 vehicles.

You can find AMG rims from time to time up to 16" which were designed for this stud pattern and also that accomodate the large hub for the front stub axle of the W116.

G'day Jack,

Welcome to W116 world... party time, excellent....  8)

What sort of rims are you looking for?  I have 2 different sets of rims available - one is an older style (but very good looking on the my 450) and the other are much newer 7 spoke E-class rims.  The older set is 15" and the newer one's are 16".
They both look sexy on my 450's.

Let me know if you're interested and we can discuss further.

Cheers,
Cam.

Michel, as far as I know the 'teardrop' style wheels were only supplied in 16" on later R129's ad early W140's.  I'm not certain the 129 and 140 versions are the same.  Chris, dod those wheels fit your car without spacers?

There was a similar 15" version on late 201's, early 202's and late 124's.

Do NOT fit W140 rims to your car :(

QuoteThe W140 wheeels are desinged to use a 14mm lug bolt and our W116 uses a 12mm lug bolt. Contrary to what has already been posted it is inadvisable to use 12mm bolts on a wheel the requires 14mm bolts. Also the bolts in question use a ball seat with a different radius which will not have the proper contact area. This is a very bad idea.
