I bought the 450SE seven years ago, 125k km on the clock. Now it's nearly 144k km.

Chris,
is your clock going backwards?!
old man mohican 6.9 has 344-000km...had 324 when i bought it in 2002
driven (attempt to) once a week up the freeway to in laws (less so in winter with rain!)
goldie 6.9 has 299,000km, probably driven about 400km in last 6-7 years listening to last owner!

186,xxx miles, so only a smidgen off 300,000 km - and still goes like the blazes (though starting to burn just a tad more oil than it used to).

I expect more life out of the M110 yet, as my W108 280SE has 516,xxx miles / 830,xxx km on it (rebuilt at 450,xxx miles, still capable of a sustained run at a true - not std speedo - 115 mph / 185 km/h).

My W111 220Sb and W112 300SE coupe are both babes, with only about 140,000 miles each.

168,000 imperial miles on the odo but as the speedo face has been changed for a metric one and the odo didn't work until I did the VDO gear repair I have no idea what that means .

My 280SE shows 434,000km.  That's all the more impressive when you remember we established its the NEWEST 116 on this forum (one of the last 1980 models).

for a number of years I drove it did 30,000 to 35,000 a year - mostly on business.  This last year its done only about 10,000 since the W140 arrived.  I'm keeping it on the active duty roster still since soonish I must take the W140 off the road for an engine rebuild.  And at the rate I work, that will take me at least 6 months.

My 280SE's engine was rebuilt at 256,000 (indicated), so its done nearly 200,000 since.  I've keptit on semi-synthetic changed every 7,500km or so, and it now shows very little wear, no oil consumption.

my odometer broke at 110k... i will never know how many miles it has!

AMG69

Nathan, it had 74000 miles when I bought the car (118,000kms) - and I swapped it to a kilometer's odometer.
sigh....sitting back contemplating the next purchase..!

nathan

my memory is leaking more than a frikkin sieve...i forgot you changed it (even though that means you added on a few thousand figures which makes me dumber yet!!)

Quote322,000+ on my 1980 300SD.
Terrific mileage   ;D - has any work been done to the motor?

Yes, the motor and transmission were rebuilt.  Unfortunately, the tranny went on me again last winter.

Good news is that the wife is letting me purchase two w116 300SD parts cars this week with engines and trannies.   ;D

Leopold

256,000 miles.

Actually just a bit more, since the odometer gear wore out and was not registering for a while until I got it fixed.

dunl

And not a 116, but the 1982 300SD w126 I bought today turned 398,000 miles on the way home.  ;D
