Perhaps the 3 posts per month was an indication that thing had gone wrong?

Until they can figure out how to renew current memberships it's going to be pretty dead.  I've been trying to renew for many months, and no one can figure out how to renew my membership.  The same thing is happening to other members, too.  The last email they sent me instructed me to contact the web host.  I just threw my hands up and decided to completely forego any further attempts.  Though, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when they decided to allow membership for anyone.  I can almost imagine the founders cringing or rolling over in their graves.  They despised "non card carrying" members.  It was always such a "cliquey" environment......it's like the Mercedes version of "Mean Girls", but with prejudice and "high browing".  It wasn't anything like the W116 forum.

Yup I've piled on a bit on them the last bit, so I guess I am not entirely impartial to what is going on over there, but I fully agree and have always held the view that having a club connection to a website and forum was never going to work.  I never really felt at home there and I have over 1 000 posts.  I always felt they treated the 6.9 as "less than", and heavily favoured the 6.3 and 600, but to each their own I guess.

In contrast, I have always felt a lot more at home here on the org, with everybody getting along and genuinely trying to help one another.  I guess it falls into the "necessity is the mother of invention" category, but I'll take it 8)

Cheers

Well their forum page doesn't even work at all now.

They're still wanting $75 for me to renew my membership.  I guess the "being open to anybody" didn't come to fruition.  Apparently, if you're not a paying member you can't access anything on the site.  I guess the joke is on them.

Nothing at all is accessible at the moment as far as I can tell.
