I guess I stand corrected.
Quite surprised about the field of unanimous reactions here.
Leads me to think that the average W116 out there is in quite a poor condition.
Naturally, I'd be the last one to know, living in a country with only a handful of these cars, and just 1 on the road.
In some way, this IS a story of hope then. I thought absolute perfection was required to fetch 20K in the present market abroad.
That is why I have been buying every nut, screw and bolt brand new for my cars, worried I may not reach those upper echelons..
I should sleep better from now on.
