Title: Prices
Post by: Martin 280s on 22 January 2007, 07:27 AM
Before I start this thread I don't what you rushing to a calculator to convert prices into your own currency. Let's think that R$100 is the same as US$100 or £100.

In Brazil new Mercedes' are astronomically pricey, a new S-Class for around R$590,000 :o! But even the oldies hold their price well. A poor W116 can be had for around R$8,000 but a great one for nearer R$30,000, I saw an advert the other day for a 450sel - R$40,000 :o. Fortunately mine is at the top end of the scale ;D. I've heard of a 'pagoda' for sale in reasonable condition for R$180,000 and my recently acquired cosmetically poor state W108 cost me R$17,000, and if it were in the UK it wouldn't pass the MOT test!

What are the prices like where you live?

Using the same comparison as yours, it's like this:
New S-Class = 220,000 euros
poor w116 = 2,000 euros (280se)
great w116  = 5,000 euros (280se)
w123 = 2,000 - 5,000 euros
w126 = 3,500 - 6,000 euros
w140 = 6,000 - 12,000 euros

This is what's arround for sale...
