I'm new here and wanted to introduce my self

Well I own 3 6.9"s

Silver over blue (leather ofc) American car that had bumpers and headlights changed to euro look

My third one is green over tan also american and also this one is with euro bumpers and headlights

It's a must for us here in the region

My grand father owned back in the day since new a Milan brown 6.9

I own other cars but the 6.9 and 600 are dear to me

I also own a w111 3.5 coupe euro model that was in the USA sandy beige over dark brown

Plus a few other cars, mostly merc and one 1972 porsche 911 T with mfi engine rebuilt to E spec and ac added as it's being used in Dubai

What does one do, a guy like you, in Dubai, on a daily bases? :)

How much interest is there in Dubai among the people in Dubai in W116, I wonder? Do they all go for newer and faster, or mega-classics, or would an average miljonair still eagerly want to own a simple 6.9?

About those curtains.. Do you have a source for them? What about Venetian blinds for the rear window?

Thanks for letting us have an inside look, a little bit! 8)

Welcome to the asylum, and well done for keeping the old girls running.
Seems like the perfect location to run a fleet of petrol thirsty M100s :)

Nice cars. My first 6.9 went to Dubai about 10 years ago. I wonder whether it's still alive

Hey there
I own a Lexus lx 570 my daily driver and only modern car it's 8 years old nearly with over 330k km

I can't talk about other people, but I would rather own and enjoy classic cars
Than modern cars

The car cultural is catching up here

We have a lack of good shops to help with the up keep of cars

And the heat also doesn't help or make it possible to enjoy the cars most of the year but I do try to drive year round even if at night

Thanks mate

Not so easy as no good shops here

But we try and thank god for the net and the parts we find and such as this fourm

But I have to admit my skills or know how of mech part of the cars is very low

My real passion is having them run well and driving them

For FYI we pay international rates for fuel

Hardly :)
A litre of 98 octane petrol was fixed by ENOC in April at 1.91 AED - that's juts a touch over 50 cents US.
Average price in Europe is closer to 5 AED.

Welcome to the forum, Ds58. You have a wonderful collection, so congratulations on your exquisite taste! I particularly like the metallic green example, with 15 inch rims, I think. I would love some of those for my car. It's Milan Brown and actually started life in the Middle East, in Qatar, so has seen some of the heat, and has the dash cracks to prove it! Please post more pictures of your cars, especially the interiors. I'd like to see the curtains, as I'm thinking of changing the ones fitted to my car.

I know we have low taxes, that's for sure

And I'm here to discuss cars not gas...

Thanks
