Nathan - register of 6.9's

A Melbourne guy had the car below and sold it to a former salesman at the Old Timer Centre in Sydney; he was going to do it up but I dont know where that got to; it has full AMG body kit and I cant remember but I think it was a 7.2!

Ok, I think I've seen pics of that car and it's buried in the gallery too somewhere.  The oldtimercentre in Annandale (Sydney) doesn't exist anymore AFAIK. So the list which is an ozvets list shows it's in Victoria still and was updated on the 7th April 07.  However, the actual car details might not be current.

The Oltimer Centre is now in St Peters. I guess you could chase them up and ask......

this car belonged to a fellow called ken tyler i believe in melbourne...he was a multiple 6.9 owner...i think i have his email somewhere

The above link shows somebody else.  So looks like it did sell. 
I wonder what it's doing now.  The owner has a few w116's plus a few other benzes, would be interesting to see if this car has been done up after all.

Greg the only RHD 6.9 I know of here is Waldo's.  Which is the other - Rembrandt?

the LHD cars I know of :

a) Grant V - running
b) the rusty one in Alberton - running
c) the parts car I saw in the warehouse - non-runner, somewhat complete
d) the one I saw in Durban 10 years ago that may or may not still exist ?
e) the one lying in parts in a field in Midrand.  - incomplete, non-runner

I'm of the understanding there were no official imports when new.

i checked my info and i must have been on crack...
the former owner was david byrne, another multiple 6.9 owner i think...
strange that we havent come across some of these enthusiasts on the site, as they would have a lot of info to share im sure!

Have seen two 6.9's in Queensland since I arrived. One Tobacco Brown, and the owner apparently lives in Bribey Island (Spelling may not be correct), and a gold one that belongs to the owner of German Wrecking Co. He didn't know the VIN of his car, but is apparently a Qld delivered car.
