Perhaps it may be a bit late, but maybe you will find attached files usefull for the Fanfare and seat heating. They are in German though.

Max, Thanks for the docs.  I  already have 91.15 and a version I translated into English.

Thomas also thanks for the label info.

Nearly completed install of the seat heater wire harnesses today. Need to pull 2 wires thru grommet on fuse box and attach to seat fuse box, and also need to finish installing the grommet for the newly installed new hood release cable where I ran one other wire for the seats.  All in All it went very smoothly.

I need to wrap up installing the radiator and the hydro tank, then I feel like I am complete (enough) on all the mechanical work and can move on to body work finally.  Probably going to be some fun firing the car up again after 4 years of sitting on stands and installing all the hydro lines and system.

After not being started for over 4-5 years, I was able to finally start it again today!  ;D   Bad news is the fuel pump is knackered. Sad that new pump just sitting there goes bad.   :-\

Did you have fuel in the tank? Perhaps the fuel has gone bad and damaged/clogged the fuel pump.

Most of the time the pump wasnt even installed.  Bad fuel deposits perhaps?

When I change it maybe I can wack with a hammer and lubricate to get working and have as an emergency spare.

Maybe just a function of the dismal state of quality control nowadays.   Bosch used to be great but no more :'(

Cut apart non functioning fuel pump. Looks like some dried fuel deposits may have stuck things together inside.  This pump had been used, but then sat removed from car for several years, that's probably why the gunk dried up inside.

Your 6.9 has a whole assortment of gadgets behind your hydraulic reservoir that my car does not have.

Damn, that is a full engine bay.

Question, do you not also have the spark leads numbering things at the distributor side of the leads? I think it would make more sense to have it at the distributor to easier identify which lead goes to which cylinder.

That's the Webasto.  The 2 covers are off and the wiring not connected currently. I'll probably try and fire it up next week.  I tried a few years ago and have since changed some components so I think it should work properly now.  MB really had to shoe horn it into that spot!

Imagine if you also had to fit the ABS module in there too :o

ABS won't fit anymore, if not creating space by getting rid of some parts :-)
happy having finally a 6.9 # 7271 in my garage, ...so nice to cruise!
