I'm subscribed to the MB parts "Xentry portal" site.
https://xentryportal.i.daimler.com/wps/myportal/retacchiddenpages/tp-standalone
It seems useful for finding parts, exploded diagrams etc.  The last few days It has been throwint errors at me: "A fault occured while loading the model."  ??  is anybody else having trouble with the site?  Thx,
-Dave

I haven't had any issues this week, but there's a number of people complaining on the MB Club UK forum as well. They had some sort of maintenance in the past few days.

That whole system is a mess. Ask any parts desk folks at the dealerships.

I contacted an email address a dealership gave me.  I was having the same problems.  Their answer was as follows:

1) Log in through https://aftersales.daimler.com/ and select the 4 bars icon at the top-right of the page.

2) Select Settings.

3) Click on the blue link that reads, "Dealer-Who-Is-Who" under "Language setting".

4) On the next page, Select "Modify my data".

5) Select "Preferred language"  (choose your native language here)

6) Click on "Save modificatios"

7) Log out and log back in.

After I did the above things still didn't work.  They then told me to log in through Internet explorer instead of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.  After logging in through internet explorer it worked fine.  However, I'm extremely agitated that I have to run two separate search engines to make things work.  In addition, the Xentry portal is extremely slow and clunky.  It freezes up often, and after only 10-15 minutes of inactivity it kicks you out.  It irks me to no end that just when they have a system that works perfectly they decide to introduce a new one that is only half as good.  Go figure.

For one, it's built using a non-standard-compliant web framework (JavaServer Faces) that was largely abandoned outside the "enterprise software" world a long time ago. Internet Explorer (not Microsoft Edge though) was just as clunky, so they're perfect companions. Second, Daimler seem to have grossly underestimated the requirements of supporting all users migrated from EPC to Xentry, and it clearly suffers from capacity issues. And third, looking at some of the reported account setup wait times, their backlog is easily 6+ months at the moment.

Well, this may sound horrible, but for once I'm glad to see them struggling.  They've caused enough problems and robbed far too many people over the years.  What goes around always comes back around.  No amount of money in this world can buy off Karma.  I'll bet you all of the money in the world that they're using these non-compliant frameworks because they're either cheap or free.  The bean counters are at it, yet again.  Long gone are the days when you could buy a Mercedes that would last a lifetime.

Neither. They use them, because they're "enterprise grade".
Mostly translating to negotiable service level agreements, direct support contracts and other stuff "enterprise" loves.

No its not I have waited 11 months so far and I know for a fact that I am not alone. I intend to let it run to the end of the year and then I will cancel. I have found that it is better not to quote part numbers but simply ask the dealer for what I want. If it is wrong it is their fault. So far they have not been and also they know the system better than I do. Did use it though for the relation between parts but have got used to the old fashioned way using the paper spares catalogues.

I opened via internet explorer and enter id and password, its asked me again, then whined about something and after a few seconds decided to open the page.  The page layout if very different now. You can customized the start page. parts inquiry actually seems to work a bit faster now.

The start link is now https://aftersales.daimler.com/home/

whereas before I was using

I used the new link in Firefox and low and behold it now works.

"Dear XENTRY Portal User,
Daimler AG has been reorganized. The entity responsible for this website's compliance with data protection laws is Mercedes-Benz AG as of November 01, 2019."

This ^^^^^ probably has something to do with all the issues.

Well, it would seem that enterprise grade standards and policies haven't been revised in nearly 20 years given what we're seeing/experiencing.
