Title: JJCCP is back
Post by: jjccp on 02 April 2019, 07:14 PM
I can't believe it's been so long since I've been on this site.

I got addicted to yacht racing and then got hit by a car while riding my bicycle so my cars have been sitting in the garage for a few years. But they are both doing fine. My 6.9 is a the mechanics shop right now getting some love. My 1977 280 SE is just purring and running so nice. It's kinda unbelievable for a 42 year old car to be running so good.

I had to remove and bypass the leaking ACC servo on the 280 SE and I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on the new MercedesFix unit. I'm thinking about trying it. Another goal is to get my air conditioning working again so any feedback on a modern conversion would also be helpful.

Here's a pic of the 280 SE from today. I still have the 116.org hood badge which get's a lot of compliments

I think I remember seeing pictures of this car pulling a boat with a nice trailer hitch. Welcome back!

Squiggle Dog, thanks and you have an excellent memory. I just sold that boat 2 weeks ago. I believe you will be seeing the 280 SE towing a sailboat soon.

Rumb, thanks here is the 6.9
