After I cleaned out the interior and before I started going nuts with the vacuum cleaner.  It's truly shocking how badly treated this one has been.  It'll be a long time (if at all) before this one's back on the road.  Note the front floor deadener has been removed.

Yes, it looks like it has been sitting outside like that for a while. I'd strip it right out and see what the body is like. There's not much point in a resto though, when you've got complete cars... Maybe in a few years' time.

12 means the engine was for a LHD market. In my case it is the USA version... Mine has 6.9 USA marked on it by hand from the factory, and everything is engraved with numbers. The trans valve body is also marked.

It's more likely to be s euro engine though.

Surprisingly the body's not too bad and the critical firewall is sound with no rust.  Even the sills are good, apart from the damage to the RR.  But yes she's the worst of the lot and clearly requires major work to get running again.  If she does get restored and not used for parts, I'm likely to repaint in a completely different colour....  ATM I'm thinking the same as my partner's new C250:
