Title: Introducing 6.9 #4630
Post by: John Moore Sr on 03 September 2020, 05:08 PM
I've finally taken the time to post pictures of 79 6.9 #4630. It is the 2nd 6.9 added to my collection. The first one being 79 #7003 that became the Parts Car and is not worthy to post pictures of. 4630 came to me from it's second owner in Jupiter Florida. At time of purchase it had 58678 miles on odometer. It now has 59k and change. The car came with AMG ground effects all around, Enkie wheels, and Nardi steering wheel. Over the course of several years tinkering, a down to the metal respray, plus more tinkering, the car began to conform to my desires. The biggest , hardest, and most expensive obstacle was the transmission which I had rebuilt in 2018. Instead of obstacle  it was more or less a debacle, but that's s another long story. 4630 leads a sheltered life, but enjoys the occasional outing and pampering session. The next Grand project on it will be dash replacement. So here it is for your viewing.  Thanks. JM Sr.

I like your car, John. I have the AMG kit too, so it's great to see another example with it. Sounds like you have spent some serious cash on it, so make sure to enjoy it as often as possible.

Thanks Mick. Including the purchase price, I have spent a fair amount of money on it but that's just part of the fun ! JM Sr.
