No affiliation, pity about the rust:

I say interesting as it looks like US spec, but has velour seats?  I thought all US spec from 1977+ came only with leather but maybe you could spec velour as well?

Velour was an option, used very little as Americans love leather seats.

Pity the rust, no doubt it is extensive.  If the floor boards are bad, then we know the firewall is bad. then have to do the rockers on top of that?  A LOT of work.

Indeed Robert I agree 100%, rust is a nightmare to "fix".  I know for the most part it is just par for the course on a 116, and when I see folks claim"rust free" I just chuckle in my beer to be honest.  There simply is no such thing, I don't care who says what.  Unless of course we are talking about a hermetically sealed no mileage one ;)  Give me a screwdriver and I WILL find rust on any 116 ;D  Kent @ mercedessource has a good set of vids on this, many folks think because it's not visible to the eye there is none, uhm, WRONG!  Many a car is cottage cheese under the factory undercoating, but I think (hope) I am preaching to the choir on this one ::)

What has added to this ol' girl's woes is the fact that it has spent time on Ontario roads, heavy road salt use as the winters are brutal.  Nice recipe for the rust devil to take hold :'(

Who wants to bet that the reason why the left rear bumper is sagging is because the internal structure that supports the shock-absorbers is cactus?

Not a single picture of what's really wrong with the car?

The rust behind and around the engine control module tells me that the inner fender is likely bad - and that means pretty much the entire car is a short time away from deconverting back to the base minerals that were used to form the sheet metal that was used stamp out the body panels and frame.
