after years of pleasure i sold my 1976 280SE and i bought a 1974 350SE with first paint , and it runs great on petrol and LPG the only work that the car has is the interior the leather is old and damaged , the 350 drives smoother than my 280 but the 280 was full options and now i only have automatic tranny , tacho , columshifter and a sunroof it feels a litlle robbed  ;) but it do have something my 280 didnt have 15inch bundcakes  :)  or as we call them kroonkurk velgen  .

yes the 15'' kroonkurk with good michelins made me say yes  ;D
the previous owner didnt even know about the 15" kroonkurk he couldnt see or tell the difference between the 14'' or 15'' kroonkurk
i spotted the 15'' kroonkurk when i was an mile away from the car  ;D

I have to say I was not convinced of the superiority of the 15" wheels when I first heard of their glory.  I have to say I am now convinced!  I have always loved that color.  Is that thistle green? Petrol green? What is the code?

Nice car! (but I'm biased  ;))

I like the idea of the 15" wheels, as it makes the tyres much cheaper and easier to find - the 205/70R14's are very expensive because few cars need them.

That colour looks like mine (Silver Green, no.861) - and, according to www.astralsilber.de , Thistle Green was only available from '79 onwards, so it looks like it is Silver Green.

yes i thought also that the color is silvergreen 861 , and i am going to take a look a the color code this week
indeed the 15'' are easier to find , i also love whitewall tyres and these also easier to find in 15''
