Post by: Justin280s on 05 December 2018, 06:49 AM
Hello.  My name is Justin from Tasmania,  Australia.
Just bought a 280s after search I'll no for a W123. Came across  a car that I could not walk from.  I also have a w201,  180e manual.  Happy to find you  guys and gals.

My car is a 76 base model.  The previous  owner has spent a lot of money on this  majestic machine it was to good to walk away from.
She has done 280k+  , Kms.
Dose need a respray but lucky I'm a panel beater and spray painted by trade.
Nice to meet meet you all.

Heh Justin,
you will find the site provides good info to assist you with the 280.
Tassie always has some nice cars lurking, just too damn hard for us mainlanders to get hold of when they come up for sale!
where was your car delivered new?
regards from WA
Nathan

Cool, Tasmania! Couldn't you find a more remote place to be fixing classics? Are you all depending on you, or is there a support infrastructure there?

Bonus points for a proper introduction, well done ;)!
So often first time posters start without even a "Hi" and then also hits up the forum for a favour right off the bat, and that is something I just cannot abide >:(  even though The Dude abides 8)

Thanks for the kind reply's.
Yes,  my car is a Australian  delivered. 25.5.76
Has no power windows only Air conditioning and electric antenna.  The A/C has not worked since 2014 .
The car is the same age as me but has less groans and creaks in her joints  and maybe less fumey from behind according  to my misses.   ;D
