Lionel Richie was on BBC's 'top gear' talking about how when the Commodores just made it big he walked into a Mercedes showroom, said he wanted to buy 450SELs for everyone in the band but was almost laughed out of the dealership. They called his bank manager to see if Lionel could afford it and all of a sudden the salesman changed his tune! Apparently Lionel still has the 450 as well, brown I think he said it was!
