Dave drove his beautiful 6.9 to Colo for a visit and to deliver the rest of the parts that didnt fit into my car last time I was there. Dave's car drives great and very smooth ride. We took my 250s on a nice mountain canyon drive.

The first trip I stuffed every inch of the trunk, back seat and passenger seat all the way to the ceiling of my 300se. I could not see out of the rear or right side of the car at all. some of the trim strips kept vibrating from the passenger seat towards me and had to be re positioned often.

Utah speed limit is 85 and slows down to 75 a few miles into Wyoming. I was going about 92 in UT and just didnt want to slow down enough at the lower limit. going about 88 I came up on a cop in the center pointed at me.  I saw a overpass about a quarter mile ahead and zipped off and turned and parked underneath the overpass and sat there for a while.  After going back on the interstate I saw the cop a few miles down the road back in the center.  ::)

Hate to admit it, but I was less lucky on the way back.  Got nailed 83-in-a-70mph zone in Wyoming.  >:(  Cop was on the other side of the highway driving some kind of SUV.  To turn around he had to cross a sharp ditch dividing the lanes, far too steep for a passenger car.  But he did and he got me.

Robert's magic is apparently very strong.  My broken odometer repaired itself on the way back.  Even more amazing I got 13.9 going 80ish (but in an 80 zone) with the AC on.  Car ran like a champ.  Most of the trip is between 6000-7500 ft with a couple 10,000' passes.  Temperature help a rock-solid 88deg regardless of speed or altitude.

It was your Utah plates. They love to pull over out of state vehicles. Their school system is financed by tickets.
