 :D :D

Holy shit that's fantastic.  I mean, I'm not gonna do the same.  Well, you know.  I'd like a to have free flow setup on hand just in case I'm in the mood.  Something that could be unbolted and replaced with my stock quieter setup.  The devil inside though would love to hear how a 3.5 could sound. ;D ;D

I'd like to see more.  is it coincidence that your movie only goes for 13 seconds 13B? ::)  I want to hear it with you driving off.  Pretty please ;D

Phew, it wasn't my video 8)
I've seen this video before and the car looks really good.  I've wondered what was trying to be achieved.  It's not one of those car snuff films, though if it ran longer it probably would.

My camera doesn't really capture the sound very accurately.  Being an inexpensive digital camera that has the ability to take short videos, its microphone is, as you would expect, quite crap.  The sound from the car is quite "fat" according to my workmate, but my camera will only capture the middle and high-end range of sounds.

There's another video on there showing a short walk-around of the car for those interested.

Will try to shoot more vids soon...

I knew that.

Just had to express my disappointment with my camera, as when Oscar first asked for a sound capture in the other thread (stainless steel one) I had this idea in my head about how cool the result was going to be... until I downloaded it to my PC and played it a couple of times...

If people use their imagination very broadly and think of... hmmm... General Lee's roar, you're nearly there...

Hey I've got a simple 3 speaker dell setup (ie with small sub) and it sounds  fwaaaaaaah cool :D   I know what you mean about the quality of sound from the type of camera.  But the PC speakers make a diff too.  The 350's sound has a nice resonance.  Sounds awsome on my PC.  A basic two speaker setup or playing it on a laptop just doesn't replicate it.

Once you install a system like this, you'd never go back.  It gets the adrenailne going, and brings out the hoon in you.

In cruise mode its louder than stock without being annoying.  I can still hear JJJ over the top of it.  Droning, yes there is a bit but only at certain rev ranges and not as bad as some ricer 4-cyl cars with cannon mufflers.  The droning goes away as the revs build.

To be fair, its a lot louder than current performance cars like the Ford XR8 and HSV Clubman, but its only fair to compare the exhaust note with similar engine sized cars of its time, so if you were to do side-by-side sound comparisons with say a 1977 Ford XC Cobra or a 1970 HG Monaro GTS350 then the sound wouldn't be that much different.

I should point out that I've always wanted a V8 that sounded like this, and while I may get sick of it at sometime in the future, at my age (37y.o), this is the sound I want from the car right now.
