we are considering selling one o the 6.9s we have as there are too many cars about. Mine has 15 inch bundts and appropriate michelins, dads has XWXs and the red one which may go had 8 spoke 140 alloys put on it by the previous owner 10 years ago (the car has done a few thousand km's only with us). Before we sell it, I thought it time to change the tires as we already had the 6.9 bundts repainted a few years ago but never fit them. I thought there were not longer appropriate options, but was pleasantly surprised to find Maxxis provided a 215 70 R 14 options. ok, its not VR (who cares), but the load rating of 96 and S rating were ok. so we had them fit. they do have a white wall, something I dont like, so I had them fit it inside out. not sure why they painted it blue (or was this a protective paint when they sell them) as you can see in the picture but this is not visible. anyway, an option other 6.9 owners might consider if they dont want xwxs on 14s
excuse the centre star cap, my dad stuck the 'inset' caps off a 126 instead of the 'protruding' 116 caps. ill fix this!
Yep, I've had these on my 6.9 for a few years now and haven't had any complaints although in hindsight I would have also had them with the white wall in the inside.

I didnt know you could get 215/70s any more TJ. Last time I checked it was 205/70 only so this was a pleasant surprise!
Great news. Thanks for sharing this. I too had migrated to 15" Bundt wheels.
I still prefer the 15s too SL, but I was happy find out you can get the right 6.9 tyre dimensions aside from a 600 dollar./wheel XWX.
Hi Nathan,
Yep they are the exact tyres I had fitted to my Blue 6.9 They give a comfortable and quiet ride even though they are technically below specs compared to the original rubber.
looks good on bluey RD. the tread pattern looks quite aggressive I think, you could probably get up Buller without chains in winter!
