The current issue of the magazine has a great write up on the 450SEL over 7 pages plus the cover. Features one restored by Mercedes with an expected sale price of £40K. All looks very good and very positive with prices expected to rise generally in the near future. Also a feature comparing the 116 6.9 with the 109 6.3.
i will look out for that, i have a copy of a 2005 mercedes enthusiast magazine with a comparison of the 2 as well.
interesting to see if the attitude towards the w116 has improved over the years, it was under appreciated back then i think
