'76 was still Zebrano with black console, later full Zebrano. I think the changeover was '77.

If you look closely, the early cars also had the pleats running right back on the rear seat like the regular 450SEL and other versions.

and another thistle greener (#5440) on car sales for $37500. this cars owner from years ago was a poster on the org (name 13B). since then its changed hands but over the last few years has had a bit of interior work done it seems. sounds like the current seller cared about the car, and it went the opposite of the usual direction after purchase (ie worse!). in 2006 it sold for $13k, and had 211,000km, so 50000km in 14 years, thats reasonable travel for a 6.9 since the millennium (maybe only TJ450 has done more in his!). Currently in Victoria.
my only gripe is how someone can sell a car for close on 40k and take shabby pictures.  digital photography is free, take as many as you like and choose the best ones! still, at least they cleaned the car for the photos unlike many cars.

6.9 ANL834 in Victoria.  rego check shows engine number #5920 but doesn't show VIN (ill have it on the other computer).
spit your cereal out folks, 85k!! With 320k's.
nice car, but the ad (from Peter Lennox motors on carsales) grates me
"The Car was acquired... and it was quickly realised that the car was an exceptionally original car ... turned into a complete restoration in his Benz Workshop ".
Just say it wasn't so good, and you spent some time on it, nothing anyone with a reasonable 6.9 hasn't done.
nice enough car, but 85k? im content with good $'s for a nice car but you better have XWXs or 15s, the wood better not look like the top of a mrs Macks pie, and the steering wheel shouldn't be shiny which happens after 330000km's! I think it popped up a couple of years ago at 60k from the same seller.
I do like the colour combo, a common one but a nice one.

Lol,

Yes he won't be selling that one in a hurry. For that money you would expect a proper original unrestored example.

Holy cow that is some galactic mileage ;D  I have only ever seen such mileage for well worn cars in our prairie provinces, so flat you can see your dog running away for 3 days ;D and even then they are so rusted to hell due to the road salt here during winter, that they usually fall apart due to rust before they get to rack up the miles.

the steering wheel shouldn't be shiny which happens after 330000km's

Don't bet on that. My 450SE had a worn out combo-switch (rubbed off lettering), and a shiny steering wheel after just 65k documented miles. My 350SE had a near perfect combo-switch, yet a shiny steering wheel at 112k documented miles.

Not shiny in the worn flat sense, but still not the satin look they come out of the box with.

Looks like a good one Nathan. The fact that it looks relatively original is a good selling point too. I'm pretty sure I've seen this one around somewhere.
