Michel's car is of course a euro, which would be of appeal to some prospective buyers.  THe red grille is a bit hard to swallow, but at least we know it was a quality paint job and interior work.  I would prefer it in its original Milan, but still an attractive option for someone in the market.

'76 6.9 Euro, '78 6.9 AMG, '80 280SE, '74 350SE, '82 500SEL euro full hydro, '83 500SEL euro full hydro , '81 500SL

The fact that nobody has bought this car yet is a good indication of the market... as in practically non existent unless you list it for a very low price.

dunno about that TJ.  if im spending 20k on a 40 year old classic, im not going to buy a car that deviates a lot from the original.  we aren't so good over here due to our isolation.   gotta be positive!

on ebay wanting buy it now $23500. says storage for 12 years but running. the VIN is hard to make out but appears to be #5318. checking the registry identifies this is the car and formerly owned by oversize.  The ad leaves a little to be desired in my opinion.  I believe after Oversize, it went to Darwin, and is now back in NSW. unregistered. It is evidently the same car as it has mb tex seats (not leather), a 126 steering wheel, no 6.9 badge on the boot. note when the previous owner has the car it had some massive rust holes in it, they appear gone so any interesting party better check it well - for the buy it now price you would hope it was done nicely!
the dash has also evidently been reskinned at some point, doesnt look like the right patina but inspection would tell. same KMs as previous owner so doesnt look like its moved in a long time. australian car originally

Australian 6.9 repainted 5 years ago. 263,000km on it.  The car currently advertised belongs to the honourable org member RobertD. 1979 car. Using vic licence checker, its engine #5980, I didnt see the VIN but will allow RD to post it if he sees fit!

This one takes the cake for inflation presently. 1979 Victorian car advertised on facebook by Carl Lennox motors.  Notes originally owned by the Grollo family (which means nothing to me as a Western Australian), the motor business owner has had it in his possession and comments on the restoration he did.  Asking $135,000!
Engine number is #5920

damn, #5318 just keeps recycling, its about the 3rd time this year its selling!! they want $29,500 for doing a paint wrap on this formerly silver car which had major rust issues. identifiable with its 450sel only badge, 126 steering wheel and MB tex seats.  An org poster owned this car. formerly silver car,you can see under the front bumper where they were too slack to wrap

Oh the horror! Considering how much I sold it for and what it’s going for now someone made some bucks and someone else got burned... They could at least put a radio in it for what they’re asking!

The poor old girl makes me wish I’d kept her so I could treat it better than the last series of owners. I’d guess at least 2 since I sold it. Cross fingers the next owner shows some respect for the car!
