I note the round about of #6032 continues (see earlier), this must be the 4th or 5th time ive seen it advertised in the last few years.  The silver green, they want 40k on carsales. Its done 3km since last year according to the odometer pictures!  Doesnt look bad, but odd...

along with the brown unregistered one i put up on the last page, the seller reportedly had this one. I have no details barring a FB post noting a chap had bought it.  It was in Lismore reportedly and got submerged in the horrendous floods.  If its as bad as the interior looks, I cant imagine much could have been saved on this one.

I could not be further from you in Canada, but love reading of your catalog of 6.9's in Australia. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers Neil,

Ive kept records for about 20 years for my own perverse interest as we have two, but have had about 8 or so amongst other MBs.  I thought a public record is kind of interesting. Start one for the Canadian side of things!

Im off to your part of the world next week, but just the west coast for Xmas with family. I dont imagine 116s last long in snow!

#155
On carsales this month for $26,800 #3733.  Reportedly it was a British car used in the France for consular duties.  Odometer is miles and at 222,000. I last had it down in 2008 when it was for sale for $18k.  At that time the number plate was 262KVV and it was in QLD.

Probably the main reason I bought mine :) Not to take it off topic (quick snap in a very non-aussie -40C, dry day just to circulate the fluids and stretch legs over the winter hibernation). Ignore the trim that I am cleaning and re-installing.

What a shame.  Cars like this in the U.S. are well under $10,000.

Not wishing to get derailed from the purpose of the thread, but thats just economics.  50 year old cars just aren't so common, so if you want one, you will pay for it. In saying this, the covid car market has definitely cooled.
