looks like an Australia original, and also looks to have the York star plate on it on the drivers side of engine bay.
nice colour, with 305,000km for $45000.  I dont know ive seen a 6.9 in this colour in Australia.
interior is nice, as is dash. a round suspension knob car.  on car sales at the moment

an odd one, popped up on lloyds auction recently.  final bid appears to have been $22500 which is a pretty good buy i think for someone.  a QLD car originally, 258000km, VIN #5683. ikon gold with the common light interior.  chromed up bundts, US style!

Yes I was watching this one.   it's a lovely car eh .  should have fetched bit more I reckon but how much discount do we grant the current market under COVID?

nathan

#4965 has just popped up on carsales.com.au but is sold at the oldtimer centre in NSW.  slightly odd with the over riders.  A brown car, the attached pic is of the car several years ago with the 126 alloys on it.
this 1978 Australian car was sold in 2004 for $13500. then $10000 in 2007. now wants $39500 as of yesterday. it currently has 231000km, whilst in 2004 it had 196000km.

This is (was) my car, which I bought off a seller on this site in 2007. I consigned it to the old timer centre, but they ended up making me an offer which I accepted, and it is now owned by them (unless they have already sold it).

a few 6.9s popped up lately.
6.9 #5278 in South Australia for $28850 is interesting. looks like it was imported from Singapore? has a euro speedo but some paperwork in the ad suggests imported, and at the time valued at $150000 so much have been early in its life. brown interior is, well, 70s!  a few oddities like the position of the fanfare horn and demister switch, and fader moved to the top of console?  looks reasonable enough, low km's always tough to comment when an import in my opinion.

Nathan this is the same car that you posted in this thread in Janurary. Was at a classic car dealer local to me. It was on the market for $13,999. Not a bad profit margin if it sold for $28850 a few months later!(Not knowing what he had to spend on the car to get it to nicer condition).

nathan

noted on grays online which has had a couple of 6.9s in recent times, I thought they only sold army unimogs!!
6.9 #3380, 1979, a left hand drive car conversion.  its also had LPG fitted in 1997 by the look of it so imported by then.
I have records on it from 2011 and 2013 when it sold for around 6k, then 7k.  km's seem legit (170000km) and low mileage but not sure when conversion done.
auction not finished yet, see what it ends up as

I seem to be late at the party, but is/was that creme colored steering wheel an original thing? I don't recall ever having seen one..

It's just poor lighting in the shot. The steering wheel is standard black.

back for sale, originally seen in 2017 when advertised for 30k, #4996 is now on an auction site.  with covid classic car prices getting silly here in our country, who knows where it goes. actually looks like a nice original cared for car. interestingly, its only done 300km since 3 years ago which probably isnt actually a great thing! not much has changed unsurprisingly. on grays online, its riding quite high in the rear!

I don't think this is an Aus spec vehicle.
