Another Video review of the 6.9

I just saw this. While it is pretty full of cliches and questionable statistics, there are some great shots of a W116 going around corners.
And the car in question is in pretty nice condition. Here's a question though; it's a V registration, which would date it August 79 to July 80, so why doesn't it have rear seatbelts? I thought that they would have been fitted to this car by this stage.

You can find all sorts of strange individual factory orders .
The car is not listed anymore but recently there was an ad in Germany for a 6.9 with plait cloth from factory. Nothing was impossible if a wealthy 6.9 customer asked. So why not order one without rear belts

I am not 100 % sure but to me it seems like the sills are in magentit blue as the body, instead of being grey. Maybe originallity is not a priority for the owner and he didn't have the c-column covers with belt openings available. Everything is imaginable.

That reviewer made me cringe. Sweating in velour seats, was he?

Nice find, thanks for posting!  Gotta love this stuff.  I found it interesting though that the narrator mentioned the loose steering and you can see the play in the steering wheel.  Just like my car before I replaced the coupler.  After the fix steering is beautiful, no play.  So, nice as that particular car is, it the driver isn't getting the real feel of it.  So it goes.   :-\  Still, it IS nice seeing it being thrown into some corners.
