A nice rear end

After quiet a few months (well almost a year) my new addition can finally show its rear end on a public road (but with a bit of rain around it remained inside), a 79 6.9 with around 110,00k's on the clock. A little rust in the bottom of the drivers door, but the rest looking rust free and mechanically very good. Velour interior is showing its age but will be fixed in time, everything else seems to work.

Bought unregistered, it needed to pass a 'licencing inspection' that in the end was little trouble. (that's a hint for TJ450)

In Australia the country towns have 1, 2 or 3 letters for ID and Y is 'York" in Western Australia, just 100km east of Perth (home of a number of 116's and a few v6.9's). The number was just good luck / bribery.

Looking excellent there John, and with very appropriate plates.

I've taken the hint aboard with gusto. 8)

I'm surprised to hear that there are several 6.9s in York. You learn something new every day.

Hi John,
Very smart looking rear end,
We all need an aircraft hanger for our cars!
Cheers

Yes a hangar is nice, 2 116's & 2 124's keep the MB flag flying but I'm feeling sorry for all the UK crew, day time here is Max of 30 to 40++++, that tent of Pal's tent is hard core 116 work.
