6.9 review on Pistonheads

Quite a nice blurb on the 6.9 here:

Though how an Australian 6.9 ended up in the U.K. is somewhat odd.  I like the colour scheme.

I love that story about Fangio.

I've not owned a 6.9 (yet) but have had my share of W126 500s and 560s. If a comparison can be drawn between these and the earlier W116, then I'd say the cars don't so much accelerate, or build speed; they grab a hold of the horizon, and pull it toward you.

Indeed, that's the impression I get, although the 6.9 does it with some force with the amount of torque on tap. Effortless.
